The Northwave Core Plus 2 Women's is equipped with the NRG Air Carbon sole. This consists of nylon, which is reinforced with glass fibre and enriched with carbon. The result is improved stiffness (Stiffness Index: 8.0) and better power transfer to the pedals. The sole also has five ventilation holes, for more breathability. The upper of these cycling shoes has a unibody construction. This reduces pressure points and increases comfort. An important difference, compared to the Northwave Core 2 Women's, is that the Core Plus 2 Women's has a SLW3 dial closure. This allows you to adjust the fit more easily and precisely. A single velcro closure is also added.
With the Northwave Core Plus 2 Women's road bike shoes, ladies experience a good balance between stiffness and comfort.
In order to help you, as best we can, to choose the right size shoe we have measured all the shoes ourselves. All that's left for you to do is measure your own foot length, and we'll tell you which shoe size per brand suits you best. Does your foot length in mm not appear on the relevant product's page? Then that particular shoe is not available in a size that suits your foot length.
You can easily measure your foot length using an A4 sheet of paper, placed on the floor against a wall. Stand with one foot on the piece of paper, with your heel against the wall. Draw a line above your big toe (or above the index toe if that is longer). Now mark your other foot on the paper in the same way. Measure both - the measurement of your longest foot is your foot length in mm's! Please note: some manufacturers have their own measuring system, and as a result what appears on the shoebox can deviate from what we have measured.
What shoe size you need can differ per brand. This is because certain brands wear larger or smaller. To help you get the perfect fit, we've also classified the shoes as narrow, average, or wide fit. Read all about it in our blog!

Look good and are comfortable
Shoes can be closed easily, is very simple. They are very comfortable, even for my wide feet

Nice shoes - for SPD just order the locking plates with them!
Good shoe, good locking system! Purchased the shoe to have a "race shoe" with SPD capability. Unfortunately it doesn't come with an SPD locking plate, you have to order it separately (so you can't mount SPD plates out-of-the-box). The one they recommend from Northwave itself is hard to get (and expensive). I bought the standard Shimano SPD locking plates, which also fit (18 euros for 2). Installing this locking plate is also some tricky work. You have to cut open and insole of the shoe a bit, it is quite stiff and well glued.

Great price quality shoe.
There is a button on the twist closure. Tis a handy way to open your shoe.

Fine shoes, fall wider than average.
Nice wide shoes, closure works well. Had to consult YouTube to attach the SPD cleats, but succeeded.
