The Northwave Celsius R GTX cycling shoes keep your feet warm and perfectly insulated during mild winters. Harsh wind or rain are no problem either, as these cycling shoes are wind- and waterproof. The tip of the foot has extra lining, keeping your toes warmer. Furthermore, these cycling shoes have a good fit and the sole is reinforced with carbon. This makes power transfer to the pedals more effective.
With the Northwave Celsius R GTX cycling shoes, you no longer have to skip winter road rides.
The Northwave Celsius R GTX is made with the Pique Gore-Tex membrane. This material provides good thermal insulation and keeps your feet warm during mild winters. In addition, this membrane makes the cycling shoe wind- and waterproof. This keeps your feet dry and comfortable when the elements assert themselves.
High Easyfit collar
The high Easyfit collar has been added to the Northwave Celsius R GTX. It combines the extremely good flexibility of the Gore-Tex Rattler membrane with the high thermal insulation of neoprene. This makes the collar highly mobile and provides protection from instep to ankle.
Overlapping upper and SLW3 twist closure
The upper of the Northwave Celsius R GTX has an overlapping construction. This ensures an even envelopment of the foot without creating annoying pressure points. It makes a positive contribution to effective power transfer and a to the comfortable fit. You can adjust the fit of this winter cycling shoe via the SLW3 twist closure. Minimal adjustments to the fit can be made quickly and easily.
Carbon-reinforced sole
The sole of this cycling shoe is reinforced with carbon. This ensures higher stiffness (stiffness index: 8.0) and allows you to transfer more power to the pedals. Your efforts on the bike will thus be better converted into speed.
360° reflective inserts
The Northwave Celsius R GTX is equipped with 360° reflective inserts. This makes you more visible in dark conditions with these winter cycling shoes. So even a bit of extra cycling safety is not lacking.
In order to help you, as best we can, to choose the right size shoe we have measured all the shoes ourselves. All that's left for you to do is measure your own foot length, and we'll tell you which shoe size per brand suits you best. Does your foot length in mm not appear on the relevant product's page? Then that particular shoe is not available in a size that suits your foot length.
You can easily measure your foot length using an A4 sheet of paper, placed on the floor against a wall. Stand with one foot on the piece of paper, with your heel against the wall. Draw a line in front of your big toe (or above the index toe if that is longer). Now mark your other foot on the paper in the same way. Measure both - the measurement of your longest foot is your foot length in mm's! Please note: some manufacturers have their own measuring system, and as a result what appears on the shoebox can deviate from what we have measured.

Excellent product.

I have already cycled several times in rain with these shoes and my feet were staying dry and warm. The first time when I cycled with this North Wave shoes I cycled almost one hour under moderated rain and I was feeling very nice and protected. When I came back to my house in Rotterdam I stopped in the park to wash my bike and I put my legs under the water tab to wash the shoes because everything was covered with sand and other things. When I got home, I took off the shoes and there was just a little bit moisture inside, but take in mind that I put them directly under the water to clean them. Today I decided to test the shoes in the cold weather, plus 1C°, I put on a pair of summer cycling socks, I cycled more than one hour, my feet were feeling good, just a little bit cool, because of the summer socks. I recommend these shoes! I am very much satisfied with them!! My special thanks to the guys from Mantel Superbike Store Rotterdam!!!
