Description
The Mavic Cosmic SLR 45 Disc road bike wheels for disc brakes combine low weight with aerodynamic properties and high stiffness. This stiffness is achieved thanks to the oversized Zicral aluminium spokes that prevent spoke breakage. Your wheels stay in balance longer and better. In addition, these Zicral spokes help you save 4 watts at 40km/h, which equals a 7 second gain at 40km/h compared to regular aero spokes.
Thanks to the FORE system, where there are no spoke holes in the outside of the rim, there is no need to use tubeless tape. This allows you to make the wheels tubeless and at the same time save 60 grams on a set. The Infinity hubs have been designed in such a way that the spokes do not touch each other, which prevents friction or annoying noises.
Mavic Care
With Mavic Care you can extend the warranty to 3 years by registering your purchased wheel set on the Mavic website within 30 days of purchase. This also activates the possibility of a crash replacement so you can get up to 40% discount on a similar product. You are eligible for this when your wheel cannot be repaired after a crash or collision.
MyMavic app
Via the MyMavic app (available in the App Store and via Google Play) you can get advice on the right tyre width and pressure, tailored to your rim width and what road surface you predominantly ride on.
The Mavic Ksyrium Pro Carbon UST Disc road bike wheels can also be made tubeless thanks to UST technology. This has numerous advantages such as reduced rolling resistance, more ride comfort and improved grip. The most important advantage of tubeless riding is that you can keep on riding when you have a puncture. The liquid latex fills the hole in the tyre within seconds.
(FORE) Stiffer and stronger
Instead of drilling spoke holes through the rim, the holes are made on the inside of the rim to leave the outside of the rim intact. This makes the rim 4 times stronger in durability while also increase stiffness by 20% for maximum power transfer.
(QRM) Quality of Mavic rims
Mavic uses only high quality sealed bearings. On wheels with QRM, double sealed 2RS bearings are used with low rolling resistance.
