At first glance, the Crankbrothers Mallet 3 pedals look like they can't be broken. The body is made from 6061-T6 aluminium, the axle is made from forged SCM 435 chromoly steel and internally there's an enduro cartridge bearing and Igus LL-glide bearing to minimise resistance.

An open design is used to enable four-sided engaging. This allows for even faster engaging, and significantly improves your riding comfort. An added benefit of the open tread is that dirt and mud are less likely to get stuck in these pedals, increasing their durability!

Adjust to your preference for optimal riding comfort
The Mallet 3 pedals have an adjustable float and release angle. This allows you to control how tight your cleats sit in this pedal, and how far you have to move your foot before your shoes snap off. This gives you even more grip and control!
