Pros & Cons
- The Zaffiro Pro G2 is made for distance and, as such, is a very good training tyre.
- The renewed Graphene 2.0 (G2) compound ensures that the Zaffiro Pro has a good balance of durability, rolling resistance and grip.
- As the carcass consists of extra thick nylon threads, the tyre's puncture protection is excellent.
- The focus of the Zaffiro Pro G2 is on durability, which makes its rolling resistance relatively high.
- Better puncture protection goes at the expense of low weight, as is the case with the Zaffiro Pro G2.

Description
Description
Makeover for 2021!
The Zaffiro Pro G2 has been completely made over for the year 2021. The tread has been fully redesigned, and now has elements inspired by Vittoria's more expensive Rubino and Corsa collections. The grooves in the centre of the tread are derived from the Corsa competition tyre and enable the tyre to mould itself more smoothly to the road surface. The texture on the tyre shoulders comes from the Rubino collection; with the Graphene 2.0 rubber compound, this ensures cornering grip in all conditions.
High durability, good grip
In addition to the tread, the carcass was also part of the makeover. It now has slightly thicker nylon threads, which has improved puncture protection and durability without compromising on performance. At the end of the day, the Zaffiro Pro G2 is still the number one mile-eater of Vittoria's road bike tyres. It is designed to last long; the Graphene 2.0 rubber compound has been adjusted in such a way that the focus is on durability; the rubber is somewhat harder, which has required sacrificing some of the tyre's grip. Nevertheless, the Zaffiro Pro G2 is a very balanced tyre that still gives you plenty of grip during fast descents and in wet weather.
Technology
Graphene 2.0For several years now, Vittoria has been using the magical material, graphene, in the production of its tyres. In 2019 Vittoria presented the second generation compounds, viz. the Graphene 2.0 compound, for which Vittoria uses 'functionalised graphene', whereby different quantities of graphene are incorporated in the compound. These quantities vary between 1 and 10 percent to adapt the rubber composition to the circumstances. In this way Vittoria is able to bring the tyre's performance to a higher level in terms of speed, wet grip, durability and puncture protection.

Already had this outer tyre several times on the road bike. No punctures at all. Excellent price-quality ratio.

Top "all weather" tyre!
I was looking for a wider tyre for my worn Grand Prix 5000 25mm. After some searching (and previous reviews on this site), these 28mm Vittoria's should fit my 2015 Wilier gran turismo. And yes, both in terms of size and appearance a perfect match! After a lot of sweat a few blisters on the thumbs further, they were on my Mavic cosmic lite's with an internal width of 17mm. For me, these tyres are fast and comfortable enough and offer sufficient grip. A great choice if (like me) you ride year-round and don't want to change tyres.

Very satisfied
Vittoria priema tires very satisfied
3 / 5
Satisfied but disappointed with the quality of the sides (cracks)
I'm quite happy with these tires (32). I manage to drive quite hard on them, despite their width and weight, which is higher than on 25s...
