Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The Zaffiro Pro G2 is made for long distances and, as such, is a very good training tyre.
- The renewed Graphene 2.0 (G2) compound ensures that the Zaffiro Pro has a good balance of durability, rolling resistance and grip.
- As the carcass consists of extra thick nylon threads, the tyre's puncture protection is excellent.
- As the focus of the Zaffiro Pro G2 is on durability, its rolling resistance is relatively high.
- As puncture protection increases, so does the tyre's weight, which is also the case with the Zaffiro Pro G2.

Makeover for 2021
The Zaffiro Pro G2 was completely renewed for the year 2021. The tread was fully redesigned and now has elements inspired by Vittoria's more expensive Rubino and Corsa models. The grooves in the centre of the tread are derived from the Corsa competition tyre and enable the tyre to adapt more smoothly to the road surface. The texture on the tyre shoulders comes from the Rubino series; with the Graphene 2.0 rubber compound, it ensures high cornering grip in all conditions.
High durability, good grip
In addition to the tread, the carcass was also part of the makeover. It now has slightly thicker nylon threads, which has improved puncture protection and durability without affecting performance. Finally, the Zaffiro Pro G2 is still the number one mile-eater of Vittoria's road bike tyres - it is designed to last long, and its Graphene 2.0 rubber compound has been adjusted in such a way that the focus is on durability; the rubber is somewhat harder, which has required sacrificing some of the tyre's grip. Nevertheless, the Zaffiro Pro G2 is a very balanced tyre that still gives you plenty of traction on fast descents and in wet weather.
For several years now, Vittoria has been using the magical material, graphene, in the production of its tyres. In 2019, the brand presented its second-generation compounds, viz. the Graphene 2.0 compound, for which Vittoria uses "functionalised graphene," whereby different quantities of graphene are incorporated in the compound. These quantities vary from 1% to 10% with the aim of adjusting the rubber composition to the type of use. In this way, Vittoria is able to enhance the tyre's performance in terms of speed, wet grip, durability, and puncture protection.
The right tyre pressure at all times
Not sure what tyre pressure to use? That is now a thing of the past! Use Vittoria's handy tire pressure calculator to know exactly how hard to inflate your tyres.

Good exercise band for good price
These tyres feel a little heavier when riding, but for training, that's OK. There is nothing more annoying than punctures in cold and rain and these tyres prevent that to a large extent.

excellent service
Just a simple tyre is for the exercise bike , is a very stiff and rigid tyre does not have to be all that expensive , we are not riding Tour de France right ?

Reliable wheels that do their job
Very nice wheels, can bike significantly better with them. I went from an average of 30 to 35 km/h with them purely due to the difference in weight of my previous wheels. With my aerobars I bike much straighter because of the better stability of the wheels. The only downside I have noticed so far is that bumps make it feel more often as if the tyre is flat, maybe this is due to not properly inflated tyres but I didn't have this with my previous wheels.
