Keep your chain in peak condition without having to lubricate it repetitively with this Silca EnduranceChip. This durable chain wax, shaped like a chain link, was designed especially to be combined with the Silca Secret Chain Blend wax and provides wax for one chain per chip. Want to enjoy an optimal wax layer for an even longer time? With two EnduranceChips you can expand your chain protection up to no less than 750 kilometres!
Long-term protection and efficiency
The EnduranceChip is made of a half-synthetic wax mixture, in which extra long molecular chains ensure an especially robust wax layer. By adding the EnduranceChip to the Silca Secret Chain Blend, you'll make the interval between waxes up to 2.5 times longer than usual. Plus, you'll retain the speed and suppleness of a hot wax, with performances that are noticeably better than those of a drip wax.
Maximum performance with the Secret Chain Blend
Combined with the Silca Secret Chain Blend, the EnduranceChip will provide optimal results: longer resistance against wear, minimal friction, and improved drivetrain durability. Maintenance is simple: you can easily brush the wax off your chain, and you don't have to completely degrease your chain before applying the wax. With this combination your chain will stay flexible and in peak condition, ready for every ride!

The difference between "hot" wax and "drip" wax
Wax is a commonly used cycling lubricant. The most common waxes are "drip" waxes. In drip waxes, the wax is mixed with a liquid to make it easier to apply to your chain. The liquid will evaporate a few hours after application, and the wax will remain on your chain. The disadvantage of these drip waxes is that the wax will never entirely fill the crevices in your chain, due to the evaporation of the liquid. This means there will always be places in your chain that can gather dirt, which results in more wear and tear, and increased resistance. The main advantage of "hot" wax is that it's 100% wax, which means you can apply a full layer of wax on your chain in one go. By filling all openings and crevices of your chain with wax, you make sure there won't be space for dirt left.
