Description
Shimano Deore M6000 Shadow+ rear derailleur is suitable for the Medium cage GS for double (11-42). And in the Tall cage SGS variant suitable for Triple (11-32) (11-34) (11-36). Shifting is smoother and chain stability is improved compared to the RD-610. The Shimano Deore M6000 rear derailleur stands for reliable gear shifting with a rigid and open design. Thanks to Shadow technology, the rear derailleur is protected under the cassette. The + in Shadow+ stands for the possibility of adjusting the spring tension so that the chain does not rattle.

Use assembly paste to mount
When you mount your new rear derailleur, you should put some assembly paste on the threads of the derailleur pad. You can buy this from here.
Mounting derailleur pulleys
To fit derailleur pulleys you need a 2.5 mm or 3 mm Allen key. A handy Allen key can be found here.
A common problem is a warped derailleur hanger. This can be caused by the derailleur coming into contact with something hard, for example during a fall. Fortunately, this can be repaired! Find out more here.
Make sure you clean your derailleur pulleys too!
Like the chain, derailleur pulleys get very dirty. This makes for a less enjoyable ride and doesn't help with the durability of your drivetrain. Therefore, when cleaning the chain and / or oiling the chain, it is advisable to also clean the derailleur pulleys. Do this by gently turning the chain while you run a cloth along the derailleur wheel. However, at some point the derailleur wheels will be worn out. Visit our blog to find out when to replace your derailleur pulleys and which ones you need.
