Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The Rocket Ron profile is the most all-round profile that can be used for practically anything.
- Wet or dry weather makes no difference to the Rocket Ron, it'll cut through either.
- The LiteSkin material results in ultimate weight savings, and the most supple tyre with an extremely low rolling resistance.
- The open knob profile stays clean during the ride, maintaining optimum grip.
- Ideal for riding in combination with latex inner tubes or plastic inner tubes to enhance riding characteristics.
- The thin LiteSkin material has worse puncture resistance than the thicker SnakeSkin material, though it does optimise weight savings.

The Rocket Ron tread is the most all-round design and suitable for just about any use. Provided you've set the tyre pressure just right, you'll get home from anywhere with this tyre. The wide, semi-raised knob tread keeps the tyre clean as you ride to ensure you maintain traction. Wet or dry conditions, it doesn't matter much to the Rocket Ron. It'll manage just about anything.
The Addix compound has managed to crack the ordinary trade off between wear, rolling resistance, and grip. This is a dilemma which has occupied the cycling tyre industry for years. Previously, manufacturers had to sacrifice one of these traits to improve the others, but no longer. Schwalbe has raised the bar even further when it comes to performance and quality with Addix. Not just for XC-racing use, but for all mountain biking disciplines, which all have their own specific needs and demands. For that reason, there are no less than 4 different versions of this compound type available.
Performance Line
These tyres are great value for money for frequent users. The rubber compound used for this type of tyre is called Dual Compound. Two different rubber compounds ensure optimal performance.
• Tyre pressure: 2.0 - 4.0 bar
• Tread design: HS438

Perfect tyre for rear
The tyre sits on the rear wheel. In the 2.10 width a perfect summer tyre. In winter, I would opt for a wider size. More than enough grip for the XC trails in the Netherlands. Combined with a Nobby Nic front gives extra grip. With a second Ron for extra speed.

Just right
Seems too wide when unwrapped but fits well as it takes shape (my inexperience;)
