Strong and durable thanks to OCLV carbon
The Bontager Aeolus Elite 50 TLR Disc wheelset is made with the strong and durable OCLV Carbon. This is a lightweight carbon that allows for an optimal mix of weight, strength and durability. In fact, the rims are so strong, Bontrager doesn't set a weight limit for the rider!

Fast and stable thanks to innovative design
Bontrager's Aeolus Elite 50 TLR Disc is the perfect wheel for unmatched performance on the road. The 50mm rim height combined with the rim's aerodynamic profile gives you the benefits of an aero rim, but keeps the weight down relatively low at 1750g. This is of course an advantage if you ride in hilly areas!

The rims have an outer width of 27 mm and an inner width of 19.5 mm. This makes it possible to mount wider tyres, so you have less rolling resistance and can ride more comfortably. In addition, the Aeolus Elite wheelset comes with the a Bontrager hub with 24 engagement points.

Tubeless Ready (TLR) design compatible with thru-axles
The TLR Disc version of the Bontrager Aeolus Elite 50 comes with TLR rim tape, a TLR valve as well as standard rim tape. This allows you to choose whether you want to ride with clinchers or tubeless tyres. The fact that this rim is tubeless ready makes a quick conversion to a tubeless system possible.

The Aeolus Elite 50 TLR Disc features center lock disc hubs with 12 mm thru-axles front and rear. The Bontrager hubs are of good quality, and have 24 engagement points with 3-pawls as standard.

All Bontrager carbon wheels offer the original purchaser of this wheelset a lifetime warranty and the added protection of carbon care. This means the wheel will be replaced if damaged during a ride within two years of purchase!

Bontrager knows like no other that buying a new carbon wheelset or a new bike with carbon wheels is no small investment. That’s why Trek/Bontrager set up the Carbon Care Wheel Loyalty programme. This shows Bontrager’s complete and utter confidence in its products and their quality.

When do I qualify for the Carbon Care Wheel Loyalty programme?
You’ll automatically qualify for this programme after becoming the first owner of a Bontrager full carbon wheel and when you bought this after November 1, 2018 in our webshop or one of our brick-and-mortar stores. This also holds true for Bontrager full carbon wheels, which some Trek bicycles come with.
Note: This programme doesn’t include aluminium wheels with carbon rim construction, such as the Aura and the Aeolus Comp.

What does the Carbon Care Wheel Loyalty programme entail?
If your wheel gets damaged within 2 year after purchase, we’ll look at replacement or repair free of charge (excluding possible shipping costs). This can be damage as a result of crashing, but also by accidentally hitting the sidewalk.

How to submit my Bontrager full carbon wheel for repair or replacement?
You can rely on our stores or our webshop if you have a damaged wheel. As soon as we receive the wheel, we’ll ship it to Trek. Subsequently, Trek will decide what option to go with, depending on the type of wheel and the severity of the damage:
• Repairing the damaged rim (including spokes, decals, nipples where needed) and manufacturer’s rebuilding of the original hubs;
• A complete wheel replacement.
