Shimano 105 R7000 11 Speed Cassette

The Shimano 105 R7000 cassette is a cassette that'll properly support you during your bike ride. This 105 cassette has a high price-performance ratio and switches gears quickly, even when there’s a lot of pressure on the pedals!

Ratios for every terrain
You can choose between different cassette ratios depending on your chosen terrains. The 12/25 is suitable for flat rides, while the 11/28 or 11/30 are more suitable for hilly courses and, for some cyclists, even for the mountains. For most people, however, the 11/32 and 11/34 cassettes are best suited for high mountains. All this, of course, while taking into account whether you’re riding compact, semi-compact or double.

Direct switching performance thanks to special grinding
The gears are developed with care and ground with great precision. For example, the cassette has been equipped with shifting lines and some teeth have rounded tips. This ensures that you can switch gears even when there's great pressure on the pedals. That's why you can go one step further during an uphill sprint (or you can switch to a lighter gear when your legs are getting tired).

Cassette width
The cassette, at a gear ratio of 11/34, has the same width as a 10-speed mountainbike cassette. Due to the umbrella-shaped spider, it'll also fit a 10 speed mountain bike freehub body.

Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring on your cassette should be tightened very well, in most cases up to 40Nm. To be able to loosen the cassette, we recommend you apply a little bit of assembly paste to the lockring. Our assembly greases can be found here.

How often should I clean my bike? Regular cleaning ensures that your materials last longer, so you'll be able to enjoy cycling for a longer time. How often you'll need to clean your bike depends on the weather conditions in which you ride. Do you cycle through all kinds of weather, or do you only go out when the sun is shining? It all affects the degree of wear and tear and some people will have to clean their bikes more often than others. Use the schedule below as a guide:

October to March:
• Clean every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and oil the chain after every ride
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

April to September:
• Clean every 300 km
• Rinse off after cycling in the rain
• Dry and oil the chain after polishing or rinsing
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

What's the difference between an HG700 and an R7000 cassette?
There are two cassettes, with two separate product codes, listed on this page. These two cassettes are part of the same groupset and are of the same quality. However, there are differences in their range and compatibility.

The CS-R7000 cassettes are available with ranges between 11/25 and 11/32, and fit a Shimano HG 9-12 speed body. The CS-HG700 cassette is available with an 11/34 range, and is just as wide as a 10-speed mountain bike cassette. It'll fit on an HG 9-12 speed freehub body as well as a 10-speed mountain bike freehub body.
