- The Small Bird TLR is made for use on frozen trails with muddy top layers, as well as wet grass and single track trails.
- The Small Bird TLR is very all-round thanks to a combination of short and tall knobs for a lower rolling resistance and more grip in corners.
- This tyre has excellent puncture resistance, elasticity, rolling resistance and handling in corners thanks to the cotton carcass.
- Tubeless setup for a lot of grip, low rolling resistance and a quick solution to punctures in most cases.
- The Neoprene silica coating layer on this tyre gives it a long lifespan and prevents the tyre from absorbing moisture and mud.
- This tyre is less suitable for use on tracks with extreme amounts of mud or trails with loose sand.

The triple compound provides this tyre with its excellent handling characteristics. The outer knobs are twice as tall as the knobs in the middle of the thread. This, in combination with the softer mix of the rubber compound, results in a tyre with a lot of grip in corners and a lower rolling resistance on hard, straight parts of the trail.
This tyre has a special Neoprene silica coating. That means the tyre has a 0.1 mm thick coating that lengthens the tyre's lifespan and prevents the tyre from absorbing moisture and mud. This keeps mud and dirt from building up in and around your tyre, keeping it in top condition.
A cotton carcass
Dugast means suppleness. The cotton carcass is leading in terms of grip and rolling resistance. For years, you could only experience this when riding with tubes, but that's a thing of the past thanks to these tubeless tyres!

Performs well in slippery conditions
A tyre that performs well in slightly muddy conditions or on a slippery surface. It does work best when the speed remains reasonably constant and high. I do get the feeling, though, that when accelerating from low speeds, a Typhoon offers just that bit more grip.

A lovely, high-quality tyre; no problems converting it to tubeless. It’s very fast and offers excellent grip. However, it has quite shallow tread – slightly less than a Grifo – so if there’s any mud, its performance is rather poor. The tyre is ideal for September and early October, but I’ll probably switch to something with more tread after that.
