Description

Description

The Rotor Q-ring DM MTB chainring is suitable for both the R-HAWK, R-RAPTOR and KAPIC cranksets. The chainring has an oval shape and a wide - narrow technology. Thanks to the oval shape, it is easier to step over the 'dead point'. The wide - narrow technology is specially made for single forks. This way the chain doesn't fall off the front blade quickly. The Rotor Q-ring DM MTB saves you 40 grams on a 32 chainring. This because thanks to the Direct Mount mounting there is no need to use Spider or bolts. The blades are made of a piece of CNC machined aluminium.

Technology

The idea behind the Rotor Q-Ring MTB is simple: any pedalstroke has a “dead zone” at the most vertical position of the cranks. At this point, it is simply impossible to transfer your power to the pedal, making this the point during the stroke a rider wants to get through quickly. Rotor Q-Rings have less teeth on the chainring at this point, making it move past the dead zone faster than a usual round ring. Following this, the chainring offers a longer stroke optimising the length of your pedal stroke. This will theoretically help you get across the dead zone faster, resulting in higher efficiency when entering the optimal drive zone. This makes the entire pedal stroke more effective as a whole, leading to lower amounts of lactic acid being produced and staving off fatigue.

The technology underlying Rotor’s Q-Rings is based upon maximising efficiency. Rotor believes her products aren’t necessarily “faster”, but rather optimise your pedal stroke, leaving you with more energy for longer to ultimately lead to a faster time in your event.

Various scientific studies have proven the positive effect of the Rotor Q-Rings, but perhaps an even greater proof of their use is the sheer amount of Pro-wins realised with the Q-Rings.

All good and fast shipping

It's nice to shop in a shop where they actually have things in stock, not like others where they say they have stock and then when you buy it they don't have it.
