Fulcrum has developed the Wind 55 DB wheels based on one core value; aerodynamics. The Fulcrum Wind 55 DB wheels cut through the wind with its round and wide rim profile which better directs the airflow along the bike. The 55 mm deep UD carbon rim with an external width of 27 mm, is the result of endless testing and wind tunnel analysis. The rim profile ensures stability even at high speed or in crosswind conditions. The internal rim width of 19 mm and 2-Way Fit technology allow the fitting of both clincher and tubeless outer tubes, in tyre widths from 25 to 50 mm. 2-Way Fit
The Fulcrum Wind 55 DB wheels feature Fulcrum's 2-Way Fit technology. This means the rims are designed to offer a perfect fit on both clincher and tubeless tyre setups. In addition, thanks to the Mo-Mag technology, no rim tape is required to make the rims tubeless. After all, the wheels do not have open spoke holes but a completely closed rim bed. This makes the Fulcrum Wind 55 DB wheels ready for use with and without an inner tube.

2-WAY FIT
Tubeless technology was first developed in the automotive industry, then in the motorbike industry and finally in the bike industry. After its debut in mountain biking it has now been further developed for use in road cycling, which Fulcrum are happy to help develop.

Fulcrum have developed the 2-way fit system so that it is also compatible with regular wire bead and folding tyres. The 2-way fit racing wheel sets are very versatile in different situations. Thanks to an edge in the rim, the tubeless tyres fall perfectly into place to ensure maximum sealing. If the valve is positioned correctly, it doesn't matter at first whether the tyre is sitting straight; when the pressure in the tyre increases, the tyre will pop into place automatically.

The advantages are unimaginable:
Tests show that there is a huge advantage in terms of rolling resistance. Because no inner tube is used, resistance is completely eliminated. Tubeless tyres suffer nothing if the tyre is punctured because the latex in the tyre fills the gap effortlessly. Punctures or snakebites are a thing of the past and safety is enhanced. If the hole is not filled, for example due to a cut in the tyre, a normal inner tube can still be fitted in order to get home.

RIM DYNAMIC BALANCE
The concept is simple and elegant: The wheel is balanced by means of an added weight exactly opposite the valve.

DRSC - DIRECTIONAL RIM-SPOKE COUPLING
Exclusive rim-spoke coupling. Makes it possible to get exactly the same tension on the rim, spokes, nipples and hub in all circumstances.

MOMAG
A system where the spoke nipples can be replaced with a magnet. This is necessary when there are no spoke holes on the outside of the rim.

ANTI-ROTATION SYSTEM
This new system takes wheel spokes to the next level. Fulcrum engineers have adapted the spokes and hub to create an even stiffer construction. The result is that the spokes never lose their lateral stiffness, so they always remain fully centred. Maintain the tested wind tunnel position during riding for maximum aerodynamic performance.

AFRES AXLE SYSTEM
This is the system developed by Fulcrum for mounting the brake discs on the hubs. This fit is made so that centerlock discs perform optimally in terms of metering and direct braking.
