Schnell, leicht aber Seitenwind mag es nicht
Sehr gute Bremswirkung trocken und recht steif. Bei Nässe noch keine Erfahrungen. Leiser Freilauf, das kann man mögen, muss man aber nicht.

mooie set alleen iets zwaarder als fabrieksopgave t.w. 45 gram dat valt binnen de marge ongeveer 3%, de snelspanners zijn met 120 gram echt te zwaar dus gauw vervangen voor fouriers (43 gram)

Ruote fantastiche
Utilizzando prevalentemente Bora Ultra per tubolare ero scettico riguardo il passaggio a ruote per copertone. Mi sono dovuto ricredere. Le Bora sono un'altra cosa è vero, ma questa ruota è davvero fantastica. Scorrevole, sufficientemente leggera e silenziosissima, rigida al punto giusto senza risultare scomoda. Una ruota per tutti i giorni di altissima gamma.

The rims are made of unidirectional carbon with a 3K fibre for the braking surface. The spoke nipples are anchored in the carbon rim through the MoMag production process. This is done before the last carbon layer is applied. The front wheel features 16 straight pull aero spokes that are connected to the carbon/aluminium hub that runs on USB ceramic bearings. At the back there are twice as many spokes on the drive side as on the non drive side: 14 on the right, 7 on the left. Again, a carbon/aluminium hub is used. In order to prevent corrosion or damage by the cassette, the body has received a strengthening Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation treatment. In fact, all the projects are entirely developed in Fulcrum’s R&D department and they have put obsessive care into taking care of every detail.
The hubs with USB (Ultra Smooth Bearings) ceramic bearings further enhance the triathlon and road bike wheels’ smoothness and reduce weight and the need for maintenance.
DRSC - DIRECTIONATED RIM-SPOKE COUPLING
Exclusive rim/spoke coupling system. It allows the rim, spokes, nipples and hub to align properly with the same tensioning value in all areas.
DYNAMIC RIM BALANCE
The concept is simple and elegant: balance the weight of the gasket, with an item of similar weight placed on the exact opposite side.
2:1 TWO-TO-ONE
When you push on the pedals, the rotational force on the sprocket induces a slackening of the freewheel spokes with a consequent loss of rim tension. This results in undesirable flex of the whole wheel and an unavoidable loss of energy. Fulcrum has solved this classic cycling problem with its 2:1 Two-to-One Spoke Ratio patent, by doubling the spokes in the critical zones.
MOMAG
Momag is a system in which the spoke nipples can be replaced with a magnet. This is necessary when there are no spoke holes on the outside of the rim.
ANTI-ROTATION SYSTEM
This new system raises the concept of spoking to a new level of performance for road bike and triathlon wheels (and MTB too). The Fulcrum engineers have redesigned the spokes and the hub housings to create a solid and unmoveable whole. The result is that the spokes will never lose their initial tension, thus keeping the wheel perfectly reactive and centred, and will remain in the position that has been studied in the wind tunnel tests to ensure the best aerodynamic penetration possible.
