If you want to make sure your bike's drivetrain is always in perfect condition, you need to know the state of wear of the chain. As a chain that is stretched beyond 0.8% will eat into the cassette and chainrings many times harder than one with less wear, you will have to replace these sooner. To avoid this, replace the chain in time; by using this handy tool you will know exactly when the time has come.
