The Shimano WM83 is a full-featured XC / MTB cycling shoe for women. Shimano understands that women's feet differ anatomically in several ways from men's feet. In order to improve women's comfort and performance, the lasts have been engineered with these differences in mind. That's why the Shimano WM83 women's mountain bike shoe is shaped on a last that is specially adapted to a ladies fit. The women's specific last differs from the men's on the following crucial points: a narrower heel cup, a reduced volume, added support at the instep and a smaller toe box. The women's specific fit is not a marketing ploy, but it just allows Shimano to design shoes with a more precise and comfortable fit, that make better performances possible for female cyclists.
