Fordele og ulemper
Fordele og ulemper
- The underlap construction prevents pressure points by enhancing the wrap-around fit.
- The SLW3 double-dial fastening system allows for micro-adjustments of the fit.
- The extra 5 mm of adjustment for SPD cleats provides a wide range of adjustment options.
- The shoe comes with two different insoles for a personalised fit and highest comfort.
- The stiffness of the sole makes the shoe less comfortable for walking.
- As the sole is not as grippy as soles with a special rubber tread, walking through mud can be a bit tricky.

The Northwave Extreme X MTB shoes are designed for riders seeking maximum power and performance. With a focus on stiffness and a precise fit, the shoes provide a direct connection to the pedals. They are an ideal choice for those who refuse to compromise on efficiency and stability while mountain biking.
Fit and structure
The Extreme X mountain bike shoe features a Hyperlight HT sole with a full carbon construction for excellent power transfer. The PowerShape system adapts to the foot's anatomy and supports the arch for comfort. The Anatomic Reticular Support (ARS 3.0) system wraps the foot for greater stability. The underlap construction ensures an even fit without pressure points, improving the overall fit.
Additional features and details
The shoe is fitted with a dual SLW3 fastening system that allows for micro-adjustments across two zones to achieve the best personalised fit. The system is compact and lightweight, and easy to use. The upper features laser-cut perforations for good ventilation, and the grippy TPU rubber heel pads are replaceable to help extend the shoe's life. The shoe comes with two insoles of different thicknesses to further customise the fit.
