Thanks to the low, asymmetrical rim profile, Fulcrum has created rims with a relatively low weight that are nevertheless extremely stable. Thanks in part to the strong steel spokes, power transmission is also very good. The Racing 6 Disc wheel set has an internal rim width of 20 millimeters and the wheels are tubeless-ready. This gives you an enormous choice of tires and makes these wheels ready for your new adventure!

Fulcrum's asymmetric rim profile is designed so that the rim bead is not exactly under the hub, but more towards the rotor. According to Fulcrum, this ensures that the forces generated in the rim are better balanced because the rim bead is positioned exactly between the cassette and the rotor.

Fulcrum 2Way-fit system
The Fulcrum Racing 6 DB wheels feature Fulcrum's 2-Way Fit technology. This means that the rims are designed to offer a perfect fit on both clincher and tubeless tyres. In addition, thanks to Mo-Mag technology, no rim tape is needed to make the rims tubeless. After all, the wheels have no open spoke holes but a completely closed rim bead. The Fulcrum Racing 6 DB wheels are thus ready for use with and without an inner tube.

Mounting a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. When you buy a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you can mount both the Shimano and the Sram cassette on your rear wheel. If you have a 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the chain whip. Tight is the rule, but if you want you can also do this with a torque wrench.

• Pay attention to your tyre's direction of rotation when mounting.
• With Shimano 9/10-speed, don't forget to mount the spacer first before fitting the cassette.
• Make sure the rim tape lies well in the rim bead.
