This Fizik Luce R1 Carbon is a high-performance road bike saddle for the performance-oriented hardcore rider. The saddle is designed for women and has a full carbon construction, which makes it very stiff and light. Also, the carbon shell allows the saddle to hold its shape longer, which makes it more durable than a saddle with a nylon shell.
Cyclists who are more performance oriented usually adopt a more aero position. The shape of the saddle has been adapted to this. The saddle cover has also been given extra grip, so you will not slide and your pelvis will always be in the right position.
The foam used is Fizik's Type 1 Foam, which provides a comfortable riding experience without compromising performance.
Wider cut-out and flexible support
The Luce R1 Carbon is built on a narrow carbon Mobiusrail construction, incorporating a specially designed recess. This allows you to ride longer on this saddle without getting sore. In addition, Fizik has incorporated IschialFlex in this saddle. The unique shape of this saddle provides more flexibility and room to move for your sit bones.
Saddle shape
This saddle has a rounded rear side which makes it very suitable for people who move their hips a lot when cycling. Being a rounded saddle, it gives them more freedom of movement than a flat rear saddle.
Lench
This is an S-shaped saddle, meaning it is raised at the back and lowered at the centre. This S-shape therefore allows people with inflexible spines to sit in a sporty cycling position. This has to do with the pelvic tilt, as someone who is inflexible in the spine has more difficulty in tilting the pelvis.
Cut-out
This saddle has a recess and provides pressure relief for people who experience pressure on their contact points.
