The Castelli Competizione 2 is a competitive cycling glove that offers excellent grip and the right amount of padding. With its striking graphic prints, it's very much the opposite of a clean glove.

The Castelli Competizione 2 has a synthetic palm with medium-density foam padding. Medium-density means that the total cushioning capacity is on the low side, and it's better not to wear these gloves when you're going to brave very rough roads. That being said, less padding does increase the amount of grip, which is further improved by the silicone pattern on the glove's palm. To offer good protection for the median nerve, these gloves feature the Castelli Damping System (CDS), which helps prevent numbness in your hands.

The back of this cycling glove is made of sublimated 4-way stretch fabric. This material stretches well and fits snugly on your hand. The wrist closure is also stretchy and has no seams. This makes it easy to put the glove on and to take it off. Plus, the glove fits well around your wrist.
