The Shimano SLX M7100 12-speed MTB groupset is a high-quality, lightweight and quick-shifting groupset for cross-country (XC) mountain biking. It has been designed to prevent the derailleur rattling on rough terrain and the chain bouncing off the front sprocket. The excellent Shimano SLX M7100 brakes give you high braking power while cycling, making it even easier to race the trails!

Optimal chain tension for optimal chain retention
The Shimano SLX M7100 rear derailleur features a clutch to ensure optimal tension at all times. This maximises chain retention and minimises resistance during cycling.
To support the tight chain, the chainring of the Deore M7100 crank has a narrow-wide grind, which Shimano calls Dynamic Chain Engagement. This grind ensures excellent chain retention no matter how bumpy the terrain.

Smooth shifting and wide cassette range
Hyperglide+ technology has been applied to the grinding of the Shimano SLX M7100 cassette, allowing for even smoother shifting even in the roughest conditions.
The cassette has been designed for use on a Shimano MicroSpline freehub body. Therefore, the cassette's smallest sprocket is a 10, increasing its range significantly.
You can choose between a 10-45 and a 10-51 cassette ratio. The 10-45 version has small jumps between the sprockets to allow you to maintain an optimal cadence. The 10-51 cassette allows you to pedal extra lightly so that the steepest climbs are doable.

Excellent brakes
The Shimano SLX M7100 hydraulic disc brakes deliver high braking power in all conditions and are easy to modulate to give you increased control when riding the trails.
The position of the brake levers is fully customisable. The I-Spec EV mounting system allows you to adjust the position of the gear lever in relation to the brake lever both horizontally and vertically. You can also adjust the distance between the brake lever and the handlebars, which is particularly important for riders with small hands.
