Shimano 105 R7101 12-speed Kassett

The Shimano 105 R7100 12-speed cassette is a high-quality cassette that is excellent value for money. It is available in an 11-34 ratio. When choosing this ratio, Shimano took into account the 'sweet spot' on the 6th, 7th and 8th cogs. 12-speed allows you to keep the sprockets that make for the most comfortable riding at medium speeds despite large ratio differences. Hyperglide is derived from mountain bike groupsets and contributes to better gear transition under strain. The cassettes come with the HG mounting pattern, which is also compatible with all Shimano HG 11-speed freehub bodies.

Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring on your cassette should be quite tight, in most cases even up to 40Nm. To be able to loosen the cassette, we recommend applying a bit of assembly paste to the lockring. Our assembly greases can be found here.

How often should I clean my bike? Regular cleaning ensures that bike parts last long and that you can, therefore, enjoy carefree cycling for a long time. How often you need to clean depends largely on the weather conditions in which you ride. Do you cycle through all kinds of weather, or only go out when the sun is shining? The answer says something about the degree of wear and tear, and you may have to clean your bike more often than others. Use the schedule below for general guidance:

October to March:
• Clean every 200 km
• Rinse off after every ride
• Dry the chain and apply lube after every ride
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

April to September:
• Clean every 300 km
• Rinse off after cycling in the rain
• Dry the chain and apply lube after cleaning or rinsing
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature
