The KMC e9 EPT chains are extremely durable and rust-resistant thanks to the EcoProTeQ (EPT) coating. With this coating, mud, sand, and salt have little or no effect on the weathering of this chain. This means that the chain will last long even when often exposed to bad weather conditions! Also, the chain pins are reinforced, making this chain suitable for electric bikes.

EPT coating for extreme durability
The EcoProTeQ (EPT) coating in KMC chains is environmentally friendly and non-toxic, and makes chains highly resistant to corrosion. Because the EPT coating is applied to each individual chain component, water, salt and humidity cannot affect these chains in any way.
