Pros & Cons

Had several Wahoo's in recent years and they kept getting a bit better. Now a complete package with all the trimmings and another bit better. Still easy to use and clearly adjustable screens and navigation. Very flexible and comprehensive. New app to connect and set up takes some getting used to, but ultimately more complete than the old app. Furthermore, a pleasant colour screen with touchscreen, which may not add that much and sometimes seems redundant. In fact, button control also remains possible and suffices just fine, especially during a ride. Digital bell and over 50% battery life left after 8 hours of training are really great though. Previous screens were perhaps a little more readable in bright sunlight and the LEDs are a miss anyway. But yes, more time to enjoy the surroundings ☺️

My wahoo Roam1 had failed, so bought the roam3. First impression nice shape , slightly narrower ( because the LEDs disappeared on the left) as the previous version. Installation: Did not install on the Elemnt app ( iphone). Then the Fintness app problem-free, and also takes over everything from the elemnt app. Only when I start the elemnt app error messages. Startup is fast and almost immediate gps signal. The LEDs of the roam1 are gone, no more LEDs at first, took some getting used to, but now definitely not a disadvantage. Brackets included as spare, roam3 fits nicely in the previous version's brackets. It also takes over the sensors from the old version. Touchscreen is a plus, and button operation is the same as the old version. Scrolling through the screens is fast, and nice and clear picture and display with the route map. Sound signal is clearer and adjustable. I have owned it for several wks now , and nothing but praise, the only NADEEL is not installing on the ELEMNT APP ( who has a solution for this?). Would I buy the Roam3 again next time , YES .

Pros & Cons

After years of satisfied use of the Elemnt Roam V1, I switched to V3 and appreciate the significant improvement: larger memory, larger display, faster processor, more precise GPS control

As I have the Wahoo Bolt V2 and wanted a better, larger display, I ordered this Roam V3. According to reports from specialist magazines, it was not possible to pair it with Garmin Varia Radar. Unfortunately, this was also confirmed in my case. Pairing worked, but there was no indication on the display. Therefore back.... too bad....

I used to have a first-generation Bolt and had nothing but the best experiences with its reliability (5 years/90000km without a bug). The new Roam does everything I had learnt to appreciate about the Bolt, only much better.
