Ortlieb Handlebar Pack QR

Ideal pannier for a racing handlebar, easy to (dis)assemble and relatively roomy in volume!
I chose this type of handlebar bag because it is narrower than the roller shape and therefore fits well between the brackets of my racing handlebars. The somewhat narrower, higher shape offers room for gripping around the handlebars as well as a considerable volume. My bet is to use the bag for multi-day cycling trips, in combination with the saddle bag from the same series. Mounting the bag on the handlebars works well and holds up. The bag is easy to remove from the handlebars at a stop which would allow you to carry valuables in it (unlike, say, the saddle bag from the same series). The weight it can carry is more than enough for clothes, sleeping and toiletries and a single book. For me, the combination of the saddle bag and this handlebar bag provides the space to go cycling and camping for several days with a small-sized tent, sleeping bag and mat. When staying overnight in hotels or houses, one of the two would suffice. What I do suspect is that with relatively heavy packs, you need to pay attention to weight distribution. Using only the handlebar bag does not seem comfortable to me, whereas you could opt for only the saddle bag. But if the weight and volume of your luggage is limited, you can easily manage with just this handlebar bag! I won't use the handlebar bag regularly for daily commuting. For now, I have my doubts about the really endless usability of the links and like to keep it good for camping trips. To go on full cycling holidays and camping for weeks, I will eventually buy a frame bag anyway. That will give me just that little bit of extra space to be able to take a bit more clothes than that one set and a jumper, in addition to tent, sleeping bag and mat.

Very good bag and nice colour
Very good waterproof bag, compact, easy to install, stable. Nice colour Allowed me to pack my sleeping bag, mattress and compact down jacket. Didn't budge even on gravel terrain and everything was in the bag despite the heavy rain.

The perfect handlebar bag for the experienced rider, even on rough terrain.
The bag sits well on the handlebars, manageable, waterproof and tasteful. The closure also opens and closes nicely. Well thought-out product!

Top product
I mounted the handlebar bag on an MTB. The diameter of the handlebar was too big for this, but it just held. I will now make an adapter piece. Perfect for road bikes or Grail bikes.

Super product
This handlebar bag from Ortlieb is of superior quality. Adjusting and mounting, with the help of the video, is super easy. There is more than enough storage space so you do have to be careful not to overload the handlebar bag as this disadvantages the steering and the bike's centre of gravity. I spent four soaking wet days riding in the Ardennes in the rain but everything in the bag stayed dry. Highly recommended for the discerning bikepacker. Disadvantage(s): The handlebar bag does not fit on a handlebar with brake and gear cables mounted against it.

Gravel Bike packing
It's a bit tricky to ride, but gets easier with practice. Tends to tip forward under load. Be careful not to pinch the wiring (gear brakes). Quite expensive Very long delivery. Good product, but nothing more.

Among the best viabbio bags on the market
One of the best bags on the market, with warranty (5 years) and Ortlieb reliability. Brilliant and functional new QR system of attachment to the handlebars. Only downside is the completely black interior, making it difficult to see under certain circumstances. Internally there are 2 buckles to contertain the shape of the bag.

Definitely recommended
Very high level product. I also like it quite a bit aesthetically, unlike the classic handlebar bags (Ortlieb's others as well).

A very well-designed product for daily use.
I use the bag every day in all weathers. It is really well made and of very high quality. Absolutely waterproof and weatherproof.

very satisfied with the purchase
the bag stays firmly in place ( which I had my doubts about in the beginning ) and it holds quite a lot, once you figure out how the fastening works it is easy to de/mount, the disadvantage I found is that the orange closing strap could be a bit longer

Good bag with small weaknesses.
All in all, the bag has a good capacity and a well thought-out system, even if mounting it on the handlebars can be quite cumbersome. After a while, you have to tighten the system a bit, because it can sink in the terrain. Unfortunately, this caused me a little damage, so it would be nice if the underbody could be a little more protected against abrasion. Nevertheless, the product is good, even if it is expensive.

Clever Bill!
Super handlebar bag. Perfect for people like me who want a bag that holds well and doesn't dangle, without having to install a handlebar mounting system. I highly recommend it.

I am absolutely convinced and recommend this product with a clear conscience :)
The first few times it was a bit tricky to put on and take off - but then the handles fit very quickly. Absolutely my favourite piece. I've been looking for a small bag for daily use for a long time. Perfect for all the little things and my lunch for work or for small trips :)

Good quality, assembly and disassembly not quite as easy as I had hoped.
Bag was tight even in pouring rain.

Suitable for items you like to have immediately at hand.
The bag is spacious enough to hold a lot of stuff you like to have on hand such as food, a rain jacket, recovery equipment ..... The bag can be attached without a handlebar mount, it takes a bit of figuring out the rope system, but you quickly get the hang of it. Be careful though .... on some handlebars the brakes will be in the way. Ok actually

Good, user-friendly bag with solid attachment.
Easy attachment depends on the course of the brake and shift cables. If these are up to close to the stem under the bar tape, fixing may not be as smooth. Because the inside is black, it is more difficult, especially in low light, to see the contents. If you have crammed the bag very full, e.g. for shopping, the locking fastening is not long enough.
