According to the product specialist

Pros
Sturdy but affordable MTB Wheelset with a nice look.
The smoothly running Cup & Cone bearings are easy to disassemble and to maintain.
Ideal Enduro wheelset for when the standard wheels of your mountain bike need replacing.
The wide rims with an internal rim width of 30 mm provide maximum control and comfort.
The reliable DT Swiss 370 hubs are well sealed against dirt and water.
Thanks to the DT Swiss ProLock spoke nipples, your wheels retain much better spoke tension for a long time.
Maximum total weight of bike + rider of 110 kg allowed. This means the wheels are quite sturdy.
The Crossmax wheels are stiff and lightweight: 1770 grams is an impressive weight for a wheel set in this price range!
As the hubs are well sealed against water, mud and dirt, bearings last longer before needing to be replaced.
The Instant Drive 360 freehub body has a 9 degree engagement, which means that the wheels respond instantly when you press down on the pedals.
The UST tubeless system has a tight connection between rim and tyre. This makes the setup perfectly airtight and even allows you to make the wheels tubeless with an ordinary bike pump.
If you register the wheels on Mavic's website, the manufacturer's warranty is extended from 2 to 3 years.
Cons
The wheelset isn't the lightest in its category.
The M 1900 Spline 30 is not lightweight: the set weighs just over 2000 grams.
The Mavic Crossmax is not available with the Shimano MicroSpline fit. A Mavic ID360 Shimano MicroSpline freehub body is optionally available.
