Pros
This lock is relatively light, which makes it easier to transport.
Because of the protective cover around the chain, you prevent damage to the frame of your bike.
The CityChain 8800 has an automatic closing cylinder. This way you never leave the lock open by accident.
Available in two different lengths (95 and 120 cm).
Innovations such as End Link Design and Deadbolt Design ensure an extra strong lock.
The Disc Style Cylinder is extra secure against cracking.
Qualifies for Kryptonite's Key Safe Program and Anti-theft Protection Program (ATPO).
Cons
This lock does not have an ART quality mark and is therefore not suitable for insured bicycles.
The Abus CityChain 8800 comes without a holder for the frame. However, a chain lock is easy to transport by wrapping the lock around the seat post.
The Anti-Theft Program (ATPO) is not free and separate registration is required to take advantage of it.
