Handlebar Grips Selection Guide

Do you want a lock-on grip or one you slide directly onto the handlebar?

A slide-on handlebar grip is slid tightly over the handlebar. It is so tight that it will remain firmly in place. The advantage of a slide-on grip is that it is very light. Its mounting is strong enough for most mountain bikers. However, if you are going to ride in rougher conditions, choose a grip with a lock-on mount. A handlebar grip with a lock-on mount is secured even tighter, so that in the roughest conditions you can trust that it will not move. That being said, grips with a lock-on mount have a higher weight.
