If you want to insure a bicycle against theft in the Netherlands, there are generally certain requirements. For example, a lock with an ART certificate is often necessary to take out theft insurance. A quality mark with at least two stars is suitable for bicycles. From three stars onward the bicycle lock is suitable for motor vehicles.
