Below the tread is a RaceGuard inlay that offers protection against sharp objects. The ADDIX Green compound consists of fair-trade natural rubber and recycled carbon black from Schwalbe's own production and recycling process. This use of materials reduces CO₂ emissions.

The semi-slick tread is designed for minimal rolling resistance on asphalt and hard gravel trails. The side studs offer extra grip and stability when cornering so that you are firmly in control when entering curves. The tyre is suitable for tubeless use, which involves pouring liquid latex into it that will instantly seal any small punctures and makes loss of pressure highly unlikely.
