Connect and ride with the rest of the world
The Flow Smart turbo trainer connects you with your favourite cycling software. This way, you can ride with friends online, race virtually in Zwift or upload your activities to Strava. This makes indoor training a lot more interactive and fun. Because the trainer automatically adjusts its resistance when you, for example, are cycling up a hill in your favourite cycling software, you'll train in a realistic way.
Your speed, power and cadence are precisely measured. You can keep track of all your cycling data on your smartphone or another device. The software helps you to increase your cycling power or to train maintaining a constant cadence.
Stable frame
The Tacx is made of sturdy materials and has a large ground surface. You can go crazy on the trainer, because falling over is out of the question.
Compatibility
The Flow Smart is suitable for wheel sizes from 26 to 29 inches, so you can also use it with a mountain bike. However, a trainer tyre is recommended to prevent your normal tyres from wearing out quickly. Axles of 130 mm and 135 mm fit in the trainer, but for other sizes you'll need an extra adapter.

Top product.
Easy to install, fully meets my expectations.

Recommended. Must have to keep cycling during the dark, cold and slippery months.
Easy to use. Quickly installed. Lots of choice of routes. Fun to cycle with others.
Pros & Cons
3 / 5
You get what you pay for
It's a good product if your objective is to use it for the winter months and ensure your mind is distracted enough to finish a 90 minute ride while not paying the sky. Otherwise, you may be better off with more expensive alternatives. The bearing block of the resistance unit wasn't attached properly so came out flying during the trial ride. You need either luck or patience with calibrating the unit the first time and the Tacx premium software combination with the Flow, is adequate but does not provide a close enough experience to real cycling. In short, it does what I expected for the money paid but does not exceed expectations.

Great for amateurs!
Really like the trainer, the only downside is indeed the need to use a training tire, which was super difficult to install!

excellent value for your money
I decided to get a smart trainer to do some trainings during winter, but did not want to spend too much. i think this TACX flow SMART is an excellent compromise: very easy to configure, you can use it with all the main software for training. in the box you get one coupon for 1 month for tacx premium (very nice app) and one for 1 free month for zwift.
