Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • More control and grip on your gravel bike or MTB on single trails and in fast descents.
  • Best used in combination with shoes from the Shimano GR series but can also be used with other MTB shoes.
  • Weighing 394g, 139g lighter than Shimano PD-GR500 pedals.
  • Due to the use of composite material, the pedal is more vulnerable to damage from rocks and sharp stones.

Nice product at right price.

- Rapipi 28 March 2025

Just mounted on a city bike, because I think the quality of today's pedals is shit.

Pros & Cons

Nice and reliable looking.
Perfect traction.
Rotating smoothly with no backlash.

4 / 5

Fine pedals for the commuter bike, with more than enough traction.

- Dirk 6 March 2025

Use them on the commuter bike. Cheaper rascals I quickly pedalled to death. These are more expensive than regular pedals, hope they last a bit longer now. The many non-slip pins can eat into the soles of your shoes, you can easily take a few out, you still have sufficient traction. The bearings turn much more smoothly than on the cheap rascals.

Pros & Cons

Bearings feel reliable and stable
Very good wet-weather anti-slip
Bit many anti-slip pins, can be turned off
No reflectors on the thickness edges

Pros & Cons

Good grip
Stairs fine
Long 'pins/bolts'
Not very elegant
Quite large, come to ground quickly
