Shimano's PD-EF205 flat pedals are the perfect solution for riders wearing shoes with smooth(er) soles. The pedals are made of a durable steel axle with cup & cone bearings. These bearings turn smoothly and are well sealed to let you enjoy your pedals for a long time. The platform of the Shimano PD-EF205 pedals is extra wide and made of aluminium. The rubber parts in the aluminium platform serve as the contact area for your shoes, and feature rubber dots. This textured rubber surface gives you the confidence and control for your rides in every type of weather, whichever shoes you're wearing, from formal footwear to sneakers!
Something for everyone
The Shimano PD-EF205 pedals are available in five stylish colours: black, silver, red, blue and gold. So choose whichever looks best on your bike! These pedals are suitable for touring bikes, city bikes (including e-bikes and speed pedelecs) and for casual MTB riding. Fitting the pedals is a breeze; you only need a multi-tool or Allen key (depending on your crank arm).

Great product! Was looking for a replacement for my mtb pedals (with small raised bolts) because soft-sole shoes were breaking down. These were originally provided on my speed pedelec. These pedals have a large surface area and have good grip. (Tested in heavy rain

That geezer complaining about wet conditions is probably uaing poor footwear. In wet it is as solid as in dry conditions.

Changing pedals is just really easy. But which pedals should you choose? After extensive (online) research, I ended up with these Shimano pedals for my e-bike. I deliberately chose closed pedals, the two pairs I had before were open and broke too quickly. I don't expect that with these. They are very sturdy and can take quite a bit of weight and force. The surface is rough, so your foot doesn't just pop off, even in wet weather (tested this summer - 2023, it was well wet from time to time). Reviews say it is a pity that reflectors have to be bought separately. I could just put the reflectors from my previous pedals in this. From a durability point of view, it's nice actually.
