I've been doing quite a bit of research concerning power meters and concluded that whilst it would be nice to have readings for both legs I'm no Chris Froome and I doubt it would make much difference. Plus, the power meters that do measure both legs are very expensive and need a pro mechanic to sort out. I like the fact that the home mechanic can fit this power meter and its a doddle to set up using my Garmin 1000. With the suggestions that it might not be completely waterproof I put some silicone grease (used for underwater camera housings) on the washer and on the outside of the battery cover. One note of warning - if you are going to fit it yourself you do need the Shimano Crank Installation Tool. It only costs a couple of Euros.

This is my second Stages power meter, the first is the Ultegra unit and they both perform faultlessly. Beautiful to look at, negligible weight increase but great power performance readings. No issues running both power units on one Garmin (1000).
