Speed doesn't really come at the expense of durability and puncture resistance with the P Zero Race TLR 4S tyre. Plus, it offers excellent grip in all conditions, which is due to SPEEDCORE tubeless technology, a fantastic evolution in carcass construction, and SMARTNET Silica, the best rubber formula for grip in dry and wet conditions. Like the rest of the P Zero Race range, the current 4S TLR version is manufactured in Bollate (Italy), where the new Pirelli factory is located.
This technology offers high rolling efficiency thanks to the properties of the rubber compound used, which reduces heat build-up and increases elasticity to minimise energy loss. Enjoy reliable wet grip. The wide surface area of the tyre's grip elements improves water dispersion and ensures confident wet handling. Puncture resistance and high mileage. Pirelli's SmartNET silica compound consists of microscopic rod-shaped particles which are systematically arranged to create a strong and durable tyre.
Speedcore
The best all-round performing tubeless road bike tyre in Pirelli's range, with a unique design that adds an aramid protection layer under the tyre's rubber top layer. This new structure adds stiffness and support to the tyre's carcass, while maintaining a smooth feel for minimal rolling resistance and maximum grip. The tyre also features a 120 tpi nylon carcass for extra puncture protection and maximum safety. SPEEDCORE is a new patent-pending technology. It's intended for exclusive use of the P ZERO Road bike tyres with tubeless technology. SPEEDCORE is the choice of World Tour teams.
Tubeless-ready tyres may be compatible with hookless rims but please note that this varies for different rim types and rim manufacturers. If your wheels have hookless rims, always check tyre type and tyre pressure compatibility with the relevant rim manufacturer.

Perfect balance between comfort and speed.
Bought especially for my bikepack holiday because of their puncture resistance and comfort. But I just leave them under! They ride wonderfully. Offers excellent performance in various weather conditions thanks to its versatile and durable compound. Also feels very familiar in the rain. It's just a nice balance between speed and comfort.
Pros & Cons
4 / 5
Pirelli quality, easy tubeless, not so easy to get on the rim
I previously had the regular P Zero Race 25mm. Replaced with this one after 6000km because I had a puncture that I couldn't get closed with plugs. Have to say that this one goes around the rim much harder than the old version. Making it tubeless went without a problem. I cannot yet say anything about puncture resistance.
