- The Aksium Disc wheelset is equipped with durable and well-sealed Mavic QRM 2RS bearings. These are less likely to be affected by dirt and moisture, which makes them last longer.
- The 17 mm wide rim can accommodate tyres that are 25 to 32 mm wide.
- If you register the wheels on Mavic's website, the manufacturer warranty is extended from 2 to 3 years.
- The Mavic Aksium wheelset is only available with a Shimano 10-11 speed freehub body. A Mavic FTS-L Campagnolo freehub is optionally available.

With Mavic Care you can extend the warranty to 3 years by registering your purchased wheelset within 30 days on the Mavic website. You can also activate the crash replacement option there, which gives you up to 40% discount on a comparable product. You are eligible for this if your wheel cannot be repaired after a fall or collision.
MyMavic app
Via the MyMavic app (available in the App Store and via Google Play) you can get advice about the right tyre width and pressure, tailored to your rim width and the sort of surface you usually cycle on.
Mavic only uses high-quality sealed bearings. Wheels fitted with QRM have double-sealed 2RS bearings with low rolling resistance.

In the past I had mavic ksyrium road wheels. I've had no problems for 5 years, which is why I switched to askiums for my gravel wheels.
