Accurate measurement and advanced data
You expect a powermeter to have extremely accurate readings and the Garmin Rally RS is certainly no exception. With an accuracy of around 99% (and a deviation of around 1%), you'll get a very reliable reading. Your cadence is also measured as standard.
Difference between single- and double sided measurement
With the single-sided measurement, your power is measured only in your left pedal. This value is doubled, which is an indication of your total power. With the double-sided pedals, your power is measured in both your left and right pedal, making the power values more accurate and giving you extra data. For example, your power output while sitting or standing is mapped out and compared with each other. And by means of the power phase, you can see where you deliver the most power on your pedals. In addition, the Platform Center Offset (PCO) measurement shows how you distribute your power across your pedals. Finally, the left-right balance gives you an insight into the distribution of power between your two legs. In short, the double-sided versions provide advanced cycling dynamics to show you how you produce your power and where you could still improve.
Full integration with the Garmin Eco System
A Garmin is not a Garmin if it is not fully integrated with the Garmin Ecosystem. For easy data analysis, software or setting updates, the Rally RS is therefore easily connected to a Garmin sports watch, Edge bike computers, Garmin heart sensors and the Garmin Connect app. This seamless integration also makes it possible to receive sports advice, training sessions, tips and workouts based on data from the Rally RS. Subsequently, you can also directly post all your data on a platform of your choice, such as Strava. Of course, the Rally RS also works with indoor training apps like Zwift, and thanks to Bluetooth and ANT+ you can also connect to sports devices from other brands. In short, the Garmin Rally RS completes your efficiency in sports.
Battery life
The Garmin Rally RS has no internal battery, but uses button cell batteries. The downside is that you'll need to change them every now and then. Luckily, the battery lasts up to 120 hours, which is a lot longer than most internal batteries in powermeter pedals. Also, the battery cover and threads are made of metal, not plastic, which greatly improves the Rally's durability and robustness compared to the Vector.

After long hesitation, bought a powermeter, single-sided because that seemed sufficient to me, and it turns out to be so in practice. Easy to link to garmin to be able to analyse afterwards: perfect choice.

Top purchase that I should have bought years ago.
The information is even (much) more comprehensive than expected. Gives cycling another motivation to get even more out of it.

Works immediately as it should, a dream !
Unpacked, read manual and finally did put the revet rings in to not touch chain. Pairing with Edge 1030+ like a dream. Working immediately and calibration excellent.
Pros & Cons

Unfortunately, not what I had hoped & expected from it for a rather expensive product.
Installation is extremely easy with the app. However, right from the start I get notifications that the right power meter is missing. As soon as I hold the legs still for a moment I get the notification. This comes up big in the data screen and you have to push it away yourself. Done all the troubleshooting, but it had no effect. If the right pedal did what it should do I would also find the heavy running of the pedals reason to return the product.

Of all the techniques, I prefer Watts.
Definitely a master buy if you want to progress on your bike. Watts being an absolute unit (... ). Honestly, it changes everything, and I'm sorry I didn't start training with these zones sooner. And to improve your "round pedalling" it's really top notch.
