This chain comes with a missing link as standard. The use of this missing link makes it very easy to assemble the chain, but is also ideal if you want to thoroughly clean your bike. To open and close this missing link you need Missing Link pliers, you can find them here.
Lengthening with a chain rivet tool
When you buy a chain it is always too long, which means it always needs to be cut to length. To adjust the chain to the correct length it has to be broken, this is done with a chain punch. Our chain punches can be found here. Make sure you choose a chain tool for the right speed.
Tips for assembly!
When (dis)assembling this chain, it is useful to take the tension off the part where you break the chain. You can do this by making a hook from an old spoke or some chain punches come with a handy hook. You hook it between the part you want to work on and thus locally remove the tension from the chain.
Measure wear regularly
A chain checker can help you see when your chain is worn out, so that you can replace it in time. These checkers can be found here.

Good product for the price and good explanation on the website how to replace a chain.
Ordered 2 chains for my mtb. On the advice of a friend, I will replace the chain every 500 km. After 1500 km, I will go back on the first chain etc. This way I will save my expensive cassette from sram and may be able to cycle 7500 km.

Pity the missing link in another colour
Who ever thought that a 70 euro black necklace should have a missing link in a different colour, I don't know. But I think it's a super bad idea! It's just not pretty! Seems like a way to make more money on the product. Since all chains have the same rainbow missing link. I expected better from Sram!

Long-lasting change at 0.6mm elongation to preserve the cassette
