This top-of-the-range carbon wheelset was developed in collaboration with WorldTour professionals to get the most out of sprints, time trials and fast escapes. Over 6.5 million shape simulations resulted in an aerodynamic rim shape that offers 9% less drag than its predecessor without compromising on stability.

When should you choose the C60? The C60 is specially designed for sprinters and riders who ride at high speeds for long periods on end, mainly on flat to gently undulating routes. Thanks to the stiff carbon spokes and the specific 24-spoke pattern in the rear wheel, it instantly converts every watt into forward speed.

• Carbon spokes and spoke pattern: By opting for carbon spokes rather than steel ones, Shimano achieves significant weight savings while increasing lateral stiffness. The layout with 21 spokes in both the front and rear wheels distributes forces optimally while sprinting and cornering.

• Direct Engagement hub: Shimano’s patented freehub system uses two interlocking ring gears. This not only results in a massive weight saving in the hub but also enables super direct and stiff power transfer.

• Adjustable cup & cone bearings: Rather than standard industrial bearings, Shimano uses its trusted cone bearings. These absorb lateral forces much better when cornering, rotate more smoothly and can be easily adjusted and serviced to perfection - by yourself or a professional bike mechanic.

Compatible with:
• Road bikes with disc brakes and 12 mm thru-axles (100x12 mm front, 142x12 mm rear).
• Shimano 12-speed road bike cassettes (such as Dura-Ace R9200, Ultegra R8100 and 105 R7100).
• Disc brake rotors with the Center Lock mounting system.
• Tubeless tyres as well as standard folding and clincher tyres with inner tubes. The ideal tyre width is 28 mm to 30 mm, but tyres ranging from 25 mm to 35 mm also fit perfectly.

Not compatible with:
• Shimano 11-speed (or 10-speed) cassettes.
• SRAM XDR or Campagnolo cassettes (Shimano does not produce separate sprocket bodies for other brands for these wheels).
• Bikes with rim brakes or quick-release axles.
• Disc brake rotors with a 6-bolt installation system (unless you use an adapter).

Not sure? Here’s how to check:
Take a close look at the cassette currently fitted to your bike: Count the number of sprockets at the rear to make sure you’re riding a 12-speed and check that it says "Shimano" on it. Also measure the width of your current axles (the standard is 100 mm at the front and 142 mm at the rear).

Not included / still required:
• Center Lock disc brake rotors

• Road bike tyres
• Inner tubes (with extra-long valves or valve extenders) or tubeless sealant
• 12 mm thru-axles (these are part of your bike frame)

• Take time to get used to the effects of crosswinds: Ride in light wind conditions the first few times to get used to the handling of the 60 mm rims. This is particularly important if you plan to participate in races.

• Check the bearings: You can adjust the cup & cone hubs yourself. Notice any play? Adjust the cone yourself or have it done by a professional bike mechanic.

• Choose the correct tyre pressure: As the internal rim width is 23 mm, tyres will sit slightly wider than on older rims. Therefore, you can (and should) ride with slightly lower tyre pressure than you may be used to. This noticeably improves grip and comfort without compromising on speed.

• Store your carbon wheels in a wheel bag when transporting them in a car to keep the rims and spokes in good condition.
