The Elitewheels Velo TT Disc rear wheel is made to give you that big extra advantage in aerodynamics and time gain that is essential for successes in time trials and triathlons. A top-class solid rear wheel also has to look good, and this wheel has a sleek, minimalist carbon structure that looks attractive and delivers direct power transfer. When it comes to time trials, every second is believed to count - this Elitewheels Velo TT disc-brake rear wheel is perfectly suited to that.
Marginal gains
Elitewheels believes strongly in marginal gains and knows that many small improvements add up to a big overall advantage. This is why the Velo TT rear wheel includes a valve cut-out that you can choose to cover, which can save precious seconds in a time trial, as demonstrated by wind tunnel tests. Compared to previous Elitewheels TT models, the current Velo TT disc wheel has a wider inner rim for more control without sacrificing aerodynamics. This allows you to use wider tyres for more comfort on long time trials or bad roads, and also improves grip in wet conditions.
PMI foam core
The interior of the rear wheel has a lightweight, high-quality aerospace PMI foam core (polymethacrylimide), which offers the same benefits as honeycomb cores but with more strength and impact resistance. The use of this specially processed PMI material allows Elitewheels to design a wheel that is both lighter and incredibly stiff. It is also hard-wearing, so you can keep using the wheel for many seasons on end without losing performance.
Hub
The hub is made of 7075 aluminium, which is known to be very strong, and uses Enduro bearings. The lightweight freewheel body is made with a 36t ratchet system, very fast and reliable!
