The Shimano XTR 9050 Di2 groupset is the first electronic mountainbike group from Shimano! This new Shimano XTR M9000 11-speed groupset is one of the major revolutions that took place recently in the world of mountain biking. After electronic shifting almost became standard with the road bike, now its the mountainbike. Many technical improvements have been made to the group.

Thanks to Shimano's own Firebolt shifter you have a seamless control and direct response during your shifts up and down. Thanks to the ergonomics based on the ''old'' rapid fire system, you can use the Di2 Firebolt shifter for unparalleled intuitive shifting, this is because the shifters have a short stroke and thus the shift takes less effort. The placement of the shift knob of Shimano's Firebolt shifter is determined entirely by human ergonomics. This means the shifters are placed on the place where the thumbs normally rest. It is narrower than ever before, so you can defy narrow passages without worrying about damage.

A sophisticated geometry improves the already legendary stable performance of Shimano and the communication of this system with its front derailleur makes synchronized shifting possible. Just like the M9050 rear derailleur shifting is a piece of cake. A quick tap on the knop with your fingertip is enough.
