The Castelli Sorpasso Bibtight is one of the best bib tights ever made by Castelli and now with a windstopper finish on the front side of the tights. Of course, the pants are carried out with a Progetto X2 Air seat pad, which provides unprecedented comfort during long rides, The seamless straps over the shoulders and the mesh back contribute to the comfort and breathability. Furthermore the Giro3 grippers ensure the pants fit perfectly on the ankles or overshoes.
The wide range of use at different temperatures are made possible by the Thermoflex Core2 materials. A fabric based on hollow fibers make these tights lighter and warmer. The fibers capture air what creates a layer of heat between the fabric and your body, it also ensures your perspiration evaporates. The Sorpasso Wind has a Windstopper X-Fast 2 finish so you can ride with these shorts in freezing temperatures.
Technologies:
Progetto X2 seat pad: seat pad created for comfort and long rides. Its seamless, antibacterial upper feels like a second skin. The seat pad consists of several densities and thicknesses, and provides support and comfort around your sit bones and perineum. The breathable fabric ensures excellent moisture transport.
Thermo Flex Core 2: This fleece fabric contains a polyester inner layer and a nylon outer layer, this provides a better moisture transport. The fabric will keep you drier and thus longer warm than normal Thermoflex fleece. The inner polyester layer contains hollow channels which retain air for extra insulation and is more tightly woven in order to keep wind out.
GIRO3 Grippers: These elastic gripper around the ankle lie flat on the skin. Resulting in tights that can be used with overshoes. The grippers ensure a tight seal between the tights and overshoes, to keep moisture and cold out.
Windstopper X-Fast: The fabric offers full windproof protection, but remains very breathable. The inside of the fabric is brushed and provides excellent insulation. The brushed fabric also prevents moisture buildup behind the windproof layer, but transports the moisture to the outside. The outside is covered with a water-repellent finish.
