The Shimano RT-CL900 brake discs are part of the Shimano Dura Ace R9200 groupset. These Shimano RT-CL900 brake discs have been further optimised to improve heat dissipation. Shimano introduced a different composite that significantly reduces heat and reduces brake disc deformation. The new material provides even more braking power and control. On top of that, the spider has an open design to handle the wind better.

How to assemble the disc brake ?
For brake discs, you have 2 different ways of mounting depending on the washer. One has an internal fit that you can tighten with a cassette removal tool without a pin. If the inside of the key is open, it can reach far enough over the axle of the wheel. The other version is an external fit that you can tighten with a bottom bracket key.
