The Rapha Lightweight SL base layer is designed for warm conditions where ventilation and moisture management are key. The super lightweight mesh fabric wicks away sweat quickly and supports a constant body temperature. Thanks to the snug fit, this base layer can be worn comfortably under a cycling jersey on high-intense rides.
Materials and fit
This sleeveless base layer uses a lightweight open mesh structure that provides strong ventilation and rapid moisture wicking. Depending on the version chosen, the material consists of a merino rich blend with recycled polyester or a fully recycled synthetic material. It supports temperature regulation and helps keep your body dry in hot and humid conditions. With a fit close to the skin, the base layer can easily be worn under other cycling clothing without bulking.
Finishes and details
The fabric has had an antibacterial treatment that helps reduce odour on longer rides. The flat-seam construction reduces friction and keeps the garment comfortable with direct skin contact. The lightweight structure is designed to actively wick away sweat and supports a steady microclimate under a jersey. The design is suitable for use under different types of cycling jerseys and enhances performance in warm and changing conditions thanks to its effective moisture management and thermal balance.
