The Mavic Cosmic Elite UST road bike wheels for rim brakes are a reliable and stiff tubeless wheelset for a good price. You get a wheelset that will cover many kilometers without any problems. This is partly due to the higher rim, shorter straight-pull spokes and high spoke tension. This mix ensures that there is little flex in the spokes, so that you have less chance of wheel failure or spoke fractures. In addition, this wheelset can handle a maximum rider weight of 120 kg.

The Mavic Cosmic Elite UST wheels have tubeless rims with a deep profile, efficient Infinity hubs and high-quality QRM+ bearings. Traction and control are a given in tubeless riding. The UST rims make it possible to ride tubeless! The UST concept improves traction, control, comfort and grip, and reduces the risk of punctures.

Reinforcement of key components: The contact point between pawl and hub is reinforced with 2 stainless steel inserts, which ensures that a 100% aluminum body can be used.

(SUP) Stronger and smoother rim connection

Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.

• Pay attention to the direction of travel when mounting your tyres.
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette.
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim.
