The Castelli Emergency W is the ideal waterproof, compact raincoat with an excellent fit. As the name implies, the Castelli Emergency is developed for emergency situations. The raincoat isn't for daily use, but ideal voor a heavy raintorm.
The raincoat is made of a waterproof Deluge Light fabric. This material has a 10.000 mm water column. This classification says something about the amount of water the fabric can take. At a normal rainstorm, this raincoat is completely waterproof. The coats' zipper is also waterproof and the seams are taped. With this, the Castelli Emergency keeps all the water outside the jacket. Through innovative 'gutters' on the sleeves and the back, excess water gets diverted easily.
The Castelli raincoat is made of an elastic fabric. This is why the Emergency has an excellent fit and is very compact to fold. So, you can easily store it in your rear pocket.
