105 is the best.
The 105 series is the best there is in terms of value for money. Wears out less than the expensive stuff. I didn't bike faster when I was riding Ultegra. The difference in shifting quality? Don't make it bigger than it is: small.

Replacement for my stevens strado of 4 years, took a while to find the right model, watched a video, still called technical service if I had the right one. In combination with chain and cassette everything was easily replaced. I did take some time, immediately cleaned everything.
