Description
With an internal rim width of 24 mm, you can fit tyres from 28 to 62 mm. Once you have made the wheelset tubeless, you can then run tubeless tyres at low pressures to greatly increase comfort on the bike. In addition to increasing comfort, riding with lower pressures also provides a lot of grip. Indispensable on unpaved paths! The wheelset is built around the high-performance DT Swiss 350 hubs with an efficient and durable ratchet system. The body of this hub engages quickly at the start, which means that all the power you put into your pedals is translated into a forward motion.
The relatively low weight of just over 1800 grams also helps. The strong DT Aero Comp Wide straightpull spokes are perfectly held in place by DT ProLock Squorx ProHead spoke nipples. These nipples are secured with an adhesive liquid, which ensures that the spoke tension is maintained many times longer. It's no coincidence that the wheels are suitable for a total weight of up to 130 kg. By combining all these features of the DT Swiss range with a very attractive price, these wheels can be your entry into the world of gravel riding. Leave the paved roads behind and go for gravel!
Upgrade offer: add tyres
The WTB Resolute TCS Light Fast Rolling tubeless ready bike tyres are a perfect match with these DT Swiss GR 1600 Spline 25 Disc Gravel wheels. That's why you can add them to your order, and get some discount! The tyres provide plenty of grip all year round, and combine this with relatively low rolling resistance. Perfect for discovering gravel roads in summer and winter alike. And if you convert them to tubeless with the included Dynamic Barkeeper latex, you also have much less chance of getting a flat tyre.
Technology
DT Swiss 350 hubIf you are looking for the most affordable high-performance hubs available, take a closer look at the 350 hubs. The 350 body has the same performance as the more high-end hubs, but is built with slightly heavier components to offer the same reliability at a much lower cost. The patented ratchet body system has a very fast power transfer and guarantees top performance and reliability. This system can be disassembled and maintained without tools.
Pro Lock spoke nipples
Pro Lock is a process in which a patented 2-component adhesive liquid is injected into the nipple thread, allowing for extremely durable wheel constructions. By turning the nipple on the spoke, the adhesive is activated and begins to harden. The wheel can still be adjusted after the glue has fully hardened, with only a minimal loss of locking function. As a result, your wheels maintain much better spoke tension for longer. This extends durability and proper spoke tension by up to 20 times compared to wheels without Pro Lock nipples.
Tubeless ready
These wheels feature a tubeless ready rim that allows for the use of tubeless tyres and latex. This set-up minimises punctures. Should a puncture occur, the latex will fill the gap within seconds. Other advantages of riding tubeless are lower rolling resistance, more comfort and better grip. Of course, it is still possible to fit your old-fashioned folding tyres with inner tubes.

Top price performance
I have hoped from the DT Swiss wheels on my Bergamont Grandurance 8 especially 2 things: more smoothness and tightness of the tubeless setup. Both exceed expectations. Where the driving feel was slightly spongy before, the wheel now runs completely stable. Agility in the curve is also significantly improved. Tubeless so far in combination with mucoff milk without pressure loss. The wheels were for my needs an absolutely worthwhile investment.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Possibly the most reliable and best gravel wheelset on the market!
I already own the second set GR1600 - since I have already driven over 5000km with the 27.5 "version and not a single problem, not a single defect and also had no breakdown with it, I decided to buy a second set, this time in 28 ". Even if the wheel is fully loaded, it creaks and squeaks nothing. This wheelset has, especially for the low price, with the best price-performance ratio on the market. Only cutbacks must be made somewhat in weight - 1810g is not easy, but also not particularly heavy. Big bonus point: the incredibly reliable and durable DT Swiss 350 hubs. These are very easy to disassemble and clean yourself. A freewheel change is also made very quickly. I drive this set with a Campagnolo N3W freewheel with a Campagnolo Ekar shift group. Works perfectly!
