The XTR M9020 front derailleur with high mount is one of the new components in the XTR M9000 group. This front derailleur has been redesigned and uses a side swing cage. This cage moves into the direction of the chain, so chain rub is something from the past. It is possible to change gears faster and more accurately. This thin clamp increases tyre clearance of 15 mm allowing for a shorter chainstay, which helps when you're riding 29'' wheels.

There is also introduced a new cable routing, called front pull.
